FULL-TIME Design Adviser with EXPERIENCE in SALES and CUSTOMER SERVICE is sought for a growing Independent Modern Design Resource with a Showroom catering to Consumers and Trade in Los Angeles (in between Hollywood and Mid-Wilshire; soon in Downtown LA).
Only candidates who are highly motivated, self-disciplined, career-minded, require a FULL-TIME schedule and can work weekends need apply.
Position requires an ability to be a self-starter who can self-manage, but can also support fellow team members as needed throughout the day.

We are a brick and mortar retail store and trade showroom with an e-commerce site since 2006, specializing in furniture, lighting, rugs and smaller decor furnishing from design houses and independent designers around the world.
Being an integral member of a tightly knit team of design advisers with a priority on sales, customer service, clienteling, store appearance and shrinkage;
Developing leads and closing sales, including necessary follow up before and after transaction;
Guiding clients through special orders for lighting and furniture, including managing expectations on lead times and related details;
Modeling and developing a flat-level environment where everyone pitches in and no job is too big or small;
Taking responsibility as part of the team in all operations including inventory levels, interfacing with online store + staff, special orders and special events/projects;
Ensuring that our company values–innovation, precision, teamwork and exceptional attention to our clients–are exhibited in the day-to-day operations.
Sales experience, preferably retail and in furniture/design;
Capacity to listen to and assess client needs and provide guidance and information on a wide swath of product categories and individual product features;
Collaborate with co-workers to ensure a full and effective customer service experience and fully functioning showroom environement;
Proven ability to drive sales and motivate fellow team members in an intimate boutique environment;
Inclination to roll up sleeves and get the job done, while also possessing the refinement to work with discriminating clientele;
Able to lift 25 lbs and scale a 6-foot ladder (when necessary);
Proficiency in communicating in English, both verbal and writing;
Ability to work a flexible schedule, 5 days a week, INCLUDING weekends;
Deft in problem solving, organizational and IT/computer skills;
Ability to plan strategically and execute tactically.
